Ebersol Wrong Again?

NBC Exec Dick Ebersol is siding with Jay Leno.

He blames Conan for poor ratings at 11:30 pm, not their decision to put Jay in prime time.

In business it’s all about the dollar and struggling NBC thinks Jay can make them more money than Conan.

So what if Conan was promised the Tonight Show seat for five years. So what if 7 months is too short to find your groove in a new post.

Ebersol obviously has done some good at the Peacock Network. However, he’s been on the side of evil, too.

-He fired SNL’s Norm MacDonald for incessant jokes about his friend: OJ Simpson. Wonder if he visits the juices in his Nevada prison?

-For years, Ebersol refused to run a scroll on sports telecasts because he was afraid NBC would lose viewers if they saw that something else was going on. For the TV viewer, that’s evil! He was on the wrong end of that one…

The comedy of Conan, Jay and Dave has been better in this “crisis.” So the good news is that art and the public has benefitted.
