2009 Rams Wrap: 1-15 is Suh-weet!

Ram fans watched the season finale vs. San Fran with mixed emotions. A win over the hated Niners is always sweet. But the 28-6 loss gave the Rams the number one pick in next year’s NFL draft.

Ndamukong Suh will most likely play for the Bighorns in 2010. So 1-15 is not nice but rather: Suh-weet! Teamed with Chris Long over the next decade, that is a formidable DL duo.

The team has many holes to fill. The Rams have solid building blocks in its defensive front seven. Yet its secondary, particularly the cornerbacks, are below par. The St. Louis CB’s have been dreadful all year.

On offense, the Rams are in worse shape. The wide receiver group is the worst in the league. Despite recent injuries, they have addressed the offensive line recently.

At quarterback, they do not have a first line starter. Marc Bulger lost it in 2007 and has yet to get it back. Kyle Boller was obviously a first round bust. Rookie Keith Null’s chances of being an NFL difference maker? Slim and Null.

The Rams are on the clock!
